EASY:

Essentially a flat walking surface with infrequent and small elevation changes. Slopes are shallow with easily navigable surface material. Vegetation overgrowth is in limted areas or easily passible. Specialized footwear not required.


MODERATE:

Varied walking surface with frequent or moderate elevation changes. Slopes may be steep with uneven or slippery surface materials. Vegetation overgrowth is common. Hiking shoes recommended.

DIFFICULT:

Challenging surface conditions with frequent and large elevation changes. Slopes are steep and near vertical climbs may be necessary. Vegetation overgrowth may require detours from the established trail. Hiking boots may be required.
